How we handle your data
Your data stays private.
When you use Marker.io's AI features, your issue content is processed through Amazon Bedrock's secure infrastructure. Here's what that means for you:
No model training on your data: Your issues, descriptions, and feedback are never used to train AI models. Your content remains yours.
Data processed in isolation: Each request is processed independently and is not stored or retained by the AI service after processing.
Encrypted in transit and at rest: All data sent to and from Amazon Bedrock is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.
Why Amazon Bedrock?
We chose Amazon Bedrock for our AI infrastructure because it meets the strict security and compliance requirements our customers expect:
SOC 2 compliant: Amazon Bedrock operates within AWS's SOC 2 certified infrastructure.
GDPR ready: Data processing complies with GDPR requirements for EU customers.
Private hosting: Models run in a private, isolated environment, not shared public APIs.

Guardrails and content safety
Amazon Bedrock includes Guardrails, a set of safety controls that help ensure AI-generated outputs are appropriate and reliable:

Safety boundaries: Automated reasoning enforces robust safety limits on all AI responses.

These protections run automatically on every AI request, so you don't need to configure anything.
Can I opt out?
Yes. AI features are disabled by default (opt-out). Teams can enable AI features in their websites project settings if they want to use them.
What data is processed?
When you use AI features, only the relevant content is sent for processing:
