What is a Website Project?
A website project is a dedicated space where you can collect and manage issues about your website. You can create one directly in Marker.io or connect it with your favorite issue tracker or project management tool. This integration helps keep everything organized in one place.
Adding a Website Project
Here's how you can create a new website project in Marker.io:
Create a Website:
Click on "Create Website."
Enter your website name and the URL where you'd like to collect issues.
Select an Integration:
Choose your preferred integration tool from the list.
If you don’t want to use an integration, simply continue without one.
Connect to an Integration (Optional):
If you choose an integration, select an area within that tool where you want to log issues.
Click "Create Website."
For example, when using Jira, you'll need to choose the specific project or area where issues will be logged.
4. No Integration? No Problem:
If you choose not to use an integration, just click "Create Website" to finish.

Install The Widget
You have many options to install our widget on your website. We generally recommend the JavaScript snippet code. Check all installation options here.
Collecting Website Issues
When someone clicks on the Marker.io widget on your site, they’ll see a clear screenshot and a form to report issues. The system automatically includes technical information to help you resolve problems faster. Reporters can monitor their issues, add comments, upload files, and view the status on their personal issue page.

Inviting Users to a Website Project
Why Invite Users?
Inviting users can be beneficial in many ways:
Guests: If someone is expected to report many website issues, invite them as a guest. They'll be able to see their issues and those reported by other guests.
Members: If you have internal users who need to give detailed issue reports (QA Team), or see the technical details on issues (Developer Team) consider adding them as members.

Archiving and Deleting Website Projects
Archive a website project
Archiving a website disables issue reporting and removes it from your dashboard, but you can restore it later if needed.
To archive, go to the website's General settings > Archive.
You can also archive websites directly from your dashboard.
Delete a Website Project
Deleting a website permanently removes it along with all its issues and settings. Be sure you no longer need it before taking this step.
To delete, go to the website's General settings > Delete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I set up two separate website projects, one with and one without an integration?
Yes, you can create as many websites as you like, with or without integrations.
Can I link my no-integration website to an integration later on?
