Drupal Integration

Add the Marker.io widget to your Drupal site with the Marker.io module.

Why use the Drupal module?

The Marker.io module adds the widget to every page of your Drupal site, so you don't touch your theme. It also fills in the reporter's name and email for logged-in Drupal users, so they don't have to type them.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Drupal 8, 9, 10 or 11 site, and admin access to it.

  • Your Marker.io Project ID. In Marker.io, open your project and go to Widget > Installation > Code snippet & CMS plugins > CMS plugins, then copy the Project ID.

Install and set up the module

  1. Install the Marker.io module like any contributed Drupal module. With Composer and Drush:

composer require drupal/markerio
drush en markerio

  1. In Drupal, go to Configuration > System > Marker.io (/admin/config/system/markerio).

  2. Paste your Project ID into Marker.io destination key and save.

  3. Go to People > Permissions and give the Access Marker.io widget permission to the roles that should see the widget.

That's it. Users with that permission now see the Marker.io button on your site.

Tip: Check Track node ID where possible on the settings page to add the Drupal node ID to each report's custom metadata. Your developers can then find the exact content item behind an issue.
