If you encounter issues using Marker.io, some browser extensions might interfere with its functionality. It's often a good idea to disable these extensions temporarily. This guide outlines steps to manage the most commonly problems.


Known Problematic Extensions and Solutions

Grammarly

Disable Grammarly Temporarily on Marker.io

  • Click the Grammarly extension icon on your browser's toolbar.

  • At the bottom, find "Show Grammarly on [website name]."

  • Toggle it to the "OFF" position specifically for Marker.io.

  • Remember, you can enable it again once you leave Marker.io.

Remove Grammarly (if disabling isn't enough)

  • Right-click the Grammarly extension icon.

  • Choose "Remove from Chrome" or the equivalent for your browser.

  • To reinstall later, visit the browser's extension store.


Allow CORS: Access-Control-Allow-Origin

Add Marker.io to Whitelist

  • Click the "Allow CORS" extension icon.

  • Look for an option to add domains to a whitelist.

  • Enter "app.marker.io" and confirm the addition.

  • Refresh Marker.io and see if the issue is resolved.

Temporarily Disable the Extension

  • Right-click the "Allow CORS" extension icon.

  • Select "Manage extensions" or a similar option.

  • Find the "Allow CORS" extension and use the toggle to disable it.
