We do not currently support reviewing issues before sending them to your integrated project management system. We are considering adding this feature. If this is important to you, please vote and comment here to help prioritize it.
In the meantime, here is a workaround using a separate Triage project with Jira as an example. It can be applied to all of our integrations.
Triage Workaround
The Triage workaround involves setting up a separate Triage project in your project management tool. Here's how it works:
Create a Triage Project: This is a temporary holding area where all Marker.io issues are sent for review.
Review and Triage Issues: Your team evaluates the issues in the Triage project.
Move Issues to the Main Project: Once reviewed, transfer relevant issues to your main project.
Step-by-Step Jira Example
Create a Triage project in Jira: Create a triage project in Jira that mirrors your main project to ensure issue transfer between the two will transfer correctly.
Set up a Triage project in Marker.io: Connect Marker.io to the Jira triage project. This makes sure that all issues land directly into the Triage project only.
Add the Triage Marker.io project to your website: Use our JavaScript installation method to add the triage project button onto your website.
Create a Marker.io project for your main Jira project: This project will only be used by the Marker.io system and should not be added to any website.
Report sample issues: Submit some test issues through the triage project.
Transfer reported issues from the Triage to the Main Jira project: Move relevant test issues from the triage Jira project to your main Jira project.
Close the transferred issues: Mark the transferred issues as closed in the main Jira project.
Verify status in Marker.io: Confirm that the closed issues in Jira now match up as resolved in Marker.io.
