How to add to Ghost

Adding to your Ghost website is very straightforward.

  • Navigate to your Ghost Dashboard.

  • Select the settings gear.

  • Select code injection.

Here you can paste your JavaScript Snippet code directly into the Site Header

The widget will appear on both the preview and live versions of your Ghost website.

You can choose to hide the button and allow anyone that needs to report feedback to activate it by adding ?bug to the end of the URL, or using the secret keyboard shortcuts:

  • Command (or Cmd) ⌘ U on Mac

  • ALT U on Windows or Linux

Hide the button

Project Settings -> Widget -> Button -> Hidden

Widget not displaying on your Ghost website?

If your widget is not displaying, try the following:

  • Ensure your website[s] is listed under website domains. Navigate to your project settings > Settings > General > Website domains. Check that the correct website domain(s) is listed here.

  • Check widget visibility settings: Check settings, including widget appearance and widget targeting within your account.

  • Finally, check your caching settings, and open up your website using an incognito window to verify that it's working.
