Potential Features of a Marker.io Public API
Automate Project Creation and Management:
Create and Update Projects: Users may like to to automate the creation of new projects and update existing ones
Archive Projects: Automatically archive projects when they are completed
Synchronize Issue Statuses:
Manage Issues: Create, update, and comment on issues directly through the API. Make it easier to keep track of project progress and issues.
Synchronize Issue Statuses: Enable synchronization between issues statuses in Marker.io and external project management tools.
Integration with External Systems:
Two-Way Synchronization: Unlike webhooks, which only provide one-way data flows, an API would allow for two-way synchronization. Changes made in external systems could be reflected in Marker.io and vice versa.
Custom Integrations: Custom integrations with systems that Marker.io doesn’t natively support.
Access Issue Data:
Retrieve Issue Information: Provide endpoints to fetch detailed issue data, which can be used for analysis, reporting etc
Enhance Data Visibility: Enable users to build dashboards or reports that incorporate Marker.io issues with other project data.
