By default, you may use the same Marker.io JavaScript snippet code on several websites and report feedback directly to the same project.

EG:

  • website1.com

  • website2.com

  • staging.website3.com

  • uat.website4.com

If you install on a domain that is publicly accessible, some people with bad intentions could see your code and install your widget on other websites, and you may receive spam feedback.

With domain protection below, your widget will only work if it's specifically listed.

How do I secure my widget?

  1. In your project settings, navigate to Widget > Security and select Restrict to listed domains.

  2. Navigate to Settings > General > Website domains. Here you can explicitly list each domain where you would like the widget to appear.

How do I lock down my widget to specific users or pages?

Check out our Widget Targeting page, where we help you collect feedback from specific people and/or pages.
