Why You Might Need a Delayed Screenshot

Have you ever tried to take a screenshot of a dropdown menu or a timed pop-up, only for it to disappear just before you capture it? That’s exactly where a delayed screenshot comes in handy. It would allow you to set a timer before the screenshot is taken, giving you enough time to trigger those hard-to-capture elements.

Current Availability & Your Help

At the moment, Marker.io doesn’t include a delayed screenshot feature, but our team is actively considering adding it based on user demand. If you think this feature would be useful, we’d love your input! Share your thoughts and vote for this feature here.

Temporary Solution: Use Local Screenshots

While working on potential feature updates, we also want to offer an interim solution. Currently, Marker.io members can save screenshots locally and then replace the Marker.io screenshot with the locally stored file.

While we work on improving Marker.io, there’s a simple workaround you can try right now:

  1. Take a delayed screenshot using your computer’s built-in screenshot tool.

  2. Save the image locally on your computer.

  3. Upload this image to Marker.io in place of the standard screenshot.

To make things easier, we’ve put together a short video guide showing how to take advantage of this workaround. You can check it out below:
